When You See Red's Lineage Running Through The Forest And Old Ruins In Ff7 At The End, It Really Tugs At Your Heart. In Ff8, When Squall And Rinoa Kiss It Really Makes You Feel Something. That A Video Game Could Bring Out Emotions In Someone Like That Is What Is Awe-inspiring About The Ff Series. I Just Did Not Feel That With This Game. Moreover, I Didn't Like The Story Very Much. Final Fantasy VIII Had A Much Better Story.
One More Thing, The Magic, Aeons And Stuff Were Not As Much Exciting As Ff8 Which Has A Lot Of Graphics Varity And Gives You The Feeling Of How Powerful A Magic Or An Aeon Is.. I Expected To See More, Especially On The Ps2 Console

Rikku Seems More Of Uh... Comic Relief In A Way? Just To Sort Of Add A Bit Of Cuteness To The Serious "stiffness" Of The Group. Kimahri Is A Rather Dull Character For Looking Almost The Most Interesting Since He Is Of A Whole Nother Race Of Beings. Let's See... What Else.. I Liked The Sphere Ideas. Where Jhect Left Spheres That Tidus Later Finds And The Part Where Yuna Makes Her Own Is A Little Sad.
The Battle System Is Great In My Opinion, That You Can Switch Out A Character By Pressing Just One Button, And It Doesn't Waste A Turn In Doing So, The Character Gets To Act Right When They Arrive To The Battle.
Well, I Wish The Sigils Were A Little Easier To Obtain But, That's The Fun In It Right, A Challenge? Anyways, This Game Is Great, I Love The Storyline And The Characters Personalities, They Seem So Much More Real. Although... Now Heres The Thing. When You're Comparing Ff10 To Ff7 Through To 9, And You're Basically "regurgitating" At How Ff10 Turned Out, I'm Sorry Thats Just Obsurd. Everything, From Musical Scores (could Be Better Though...) To Human-like Graphics, To Mini Games That Can Be Played For Hours, And Won't Get Boring Until You've Done Everthing There Is To Do. This Game Has Revolved Around Basic Concepts And Totally Blew Away Competition. I Mean, The Battle System Was Perfect For Those With Little Sense To Date With The Atb System. And Whoever Played This Game 2 Times Has A Right To Do So, It's Visually Amazing. Fmv's, What Can I Say? All In All, It's A Superb Video Game. Even With Its Flaws.
The Only Thing To Hate About This Game Is The Fact That The Voice Acting Sucks So Badly, It's A Huge Embarassement To Square. You've Seen Them To Do It Before Right?! C'mon, Vagrant Story, The Bouncer... That's An Insult!
And Turning The Whole World Map Into A 3'd Environment, Which Literally Hurls You Into The Whole "real Life" Aspect Is Intriguing. It's Partially Ruined By The Fact That, You Only Have A 1 Way Path During Most Of The Game, Until You Get The Highwind, And Are Able To Move Around More Freely.
And The Last Flaw I Can Pick Out Are The Constant Use Of Monsters, With Different Colours And Names. I Mean, Wolf After Wolf, Puddle Of Whatever The Hell It Was... I Dunno', But Hey, This Games Fun. Fun As Ever! Play The Game Once, You're Thrilled, Get The Strategy Guide And Pummel The Game A Second Time, And Then, You're Even More Exhilarated. There Are Many Hidden Secrets, And A Really Complicated Way To Get Your Main Character's Best Weapons, Even When They Have About 50 Weapons Of Their Own. Is It There Much More To Be Said?

The Game Breaks Down The Theme Religious Ignorance Vs Scientific Ignorance Very Well. The Characters Are Simple Yet Make Sense. They're Character Goes Along With They're Life And History And Not With Just Whatever The Producer Felt Would Be A Neat Character.
Yes, The Game Is Linear (which May I Add Is Neither A Good Or Bad Thing Because It Doesn't Define Anything). The Game Is Linear Because The Game Has A Good Story. A Good Story Can't Jump Around And Doesn't Have Time To Goof Off With Ridiculous Sub-plots. This A Mission Based Story, Thus (in Reality) You Wouldn't Have Time To Go Find The 8 Secret Chocobos Of The Apocolypse.
Also Ffx's Love Connection Wasn't Over Done, Which It Wouldn't Be In A Mission Based Story (there's No Time For Love). They Finally Hit On What Confusing Teenage Love Is About.
This Game Also Has Metaphors Galore...the Theme Of Water Is Probably The Strongest One. This Shows That Square Thought More Thorougly When Considering Story Telling.
Besides The Story Being Far More Mature Than The Earlier Crap (chrono Cross, Ff8, Ff9)...the Graphics Are Obviously Better And The Sound Is More Experimental, Which Is Nice Because It Also Shows A Stance Towards Maturity. The Music Is Also More Mature For Taking A Step Backwards When The Story Is Being More Riveting Or When The Graphics Are Taking Center Stage. Of Course, The Music Also Knows When To Take The Leap Forward When Things Get Slow.
The Battling Is Far More Strategic Than Any Other Square Game To Date Due To The Fact That Chronological Information Is Given; Thus Leading To Planning Ahead Rather Than Waiting To See What Happens When U Do Something. This Strategic Gaming Almost Existed With Chrono Cross, But The Bad Guys Didn't Have To Obey The Rulez That You Were Being Forced To Follow. But In Ffx..the Rulez For U Are The Rulez For The Competition. However, Chrono Cross Gets A Huge Leap Ahead Because It Didn't Have Bothersome Random Battle Generation. However, The Battles Are Unique For Each Bad Guy.
