MAX PAYNE

"Max Payne is a fugitive undercover cop in New York. His story is dark, sad, twisted and involves a whole lot of killing. This shooter introduces gameplay aspects from the movie ‘The Matrix’ and is for adults only. "

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Matt  "This Game Was Terrible. The Way Too Long Cut Scenes, The Unimaginative Sounds, And Difficult Controls. I've Heard Better Sounds On A Puppet Show. I Enjoy Games Like Ghost Recon, And Medal Of Honour, But Max Payne Was A Waste Of My Time And Money."

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Richard Alan Porteous  "I Think That Max Payne Stands Out From The Crowd Cos It's Got Some Bits Which Can Make People Almost Cry (such As The Very Start Of "the American Dream"), Some Bits That Scare You Out Of Your Wits (such As The Last Bit Of "the American Dream) At The Same Time As Being A Shoot'em-up Game. The Game Gets Very Difficult If You Turn The Sound Down, But Still Outstandingly Brilliant!
Most Shooting Games Are Impossibly Difficult If You Don't Really Know What You're Doing, However, Max Payne Alters The Difficulty Depending On How Well You've Done So Far. Max Payne Should Probably Be A "12" Instead Of A "15", As It Does Not Have Much Foul Language And It Only Has One Bit Of Brief Nudity And You Can Barely Call It Rude. Some Bits, Though, Are Very Violent."

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Alex Rodriguez  "Max Payne Is The Best Third Person Shooter Ive
Ever Played. I Think The Story Plot Is Orginal And Good, The Graphics Are Pretty Good But Not As
Good As Other Rockstar Games. The Sound Is
Brilliant Of The Guns And Screams, If You Put It
Super Loud And Do A Single Shot It Sounds
Tottaly Real And The Neighbours Will Get Freaked.
Anyway Back To The Game, Theres A Good
Collection Of Guns And Enemys But I Think The
Real Stand Out Of The Game Is Bullet-time
(matrix Like) When You Dive In The Air And Shoot
About 18 Bullets On One Guy. Also You Can
Shoot Through Tables And Bad Guys Fall On
Chairs And React To The Enviroment. The Videos
Are Good Too."

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Danny Pawlowski  "I Think The Game Is A Sure-shot Buzz All The Way
Through Using Tactics,precision And Stealth.
I Must Admit It Was Quite Hard To Get Into For The First Half Hour But Once Its Gripped You It Will Hold You There Till The End And You Will Also Have The Added Buzz Of Showing Bullet-time Off To Your Mates.

All In All, Rockstar Have Made Another Top-notch Gameplay Game That Will Leave You Satisfied That You Didn't Spend Your £40 For Ciggy's For The Week."

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Peter Krieg  "The Game Itself Is Great But The Conversion Of Max Payne Had To Bleedawfully. The Loading Screens Are A Shock For The 128bit-machine And The Slow-downs During The Game Make You Suffer.
Turn Off The Motion Blur And Pray For At Least 20 Frames Per Second!

It´s Incredible, That The Same Team Did The Gigantic Grand Theft Auto 3!!!
Perhaps There Wasn´t Enough Time... i Hope So!"
