PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Abdulla Sulaimani  " This Game Truly Shows Off The Power Of The Console. When I Played It, I Thought The Game Was A Copycat Of The Dreamcast, But Nevertheless, The Game Is Gorgeous! Beautifully 3d Rendered Arenas, Highly Developed Character Models, Wonderful, Creepy Eerie Sounds That Orignated From The Dreamcast, But The Most Thing Of All, The Word X Symbolizes That There Are More And More Features That Are Waiting To Be Unlocked! Even The Gameplay I Thought It Was Pretty Similar But It Was Very Exciting!! A True Survivor Horror In Every Sense Of The Word, So Go Get Your Copy Now Without Delay!"

Bing Chippawing  "As A Long Time Player Of The Resident Evil Series, And Recently Getting A Ps2, Code: Veronica Was Without A Doubt One Of The Best If Not The Best Resident Evil Game To Date. The Gameplay Was Very Smooth And Fluid, Graphics Were Amazing, But What Really Set This Re Title Apart Was The Sound, The Flies Hitting The Lamp, The Thunder And The Rain. It Sounds Like It Is Happening Right In Your Room While You Are Playing It. Storyline Was Fresh And Rewarding For Long Time Re Fans! Perfecto!!!!!"

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Ulyh Blxcvw  "The Game Is Great. The Puzzles Are Very Challenging And Clever. This Would No Tbe A Game For First Time Players Of A Resident Evil Game, This Coming From A Gamer Who Has Never Played One, Until Code Veronica, In Has Life. The Reason For This Is The Controls, Length And Complexity. The Controls Are Based On Third Person View And Are Relative To The Character. They Have Been The Same Since The Begining, But Add A Nice Touch For The Gamer Who Likes Orginality. This Game, So Ive Heard, Is Longer Than The Rest Of The Re Collection. Well It Should Be It Takes All That Space On A Memory Card. The Puzzles Are Not For An Ameture. If Youve Played The Other Re Games You Are Some What Familiar With The Clever Puzzle Solutions And Hidden Buttons All Throughout The Game, But It Would Murder An Ameture, Unless You Have About 3 People Watching The Game And A Genius Playing, Which Is What I Did, And Beat It In Three Days. Over All The Graphics Were Great, Sound Was Great, But The Scare Factor Was Not Too Good. You Will Jump A Little, Mostly At Nothing, But Other Times It Is Horrible."

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Aidan Crook  "This Is The First Survival Horror I Have Ever Played, Having Previously Been A Strategy And Fps Fan. I Was Very Impressed. The Graphics Were Excellent, And The Atmosphere Superb. I Am Ashamed To Say That I Even Jumped At A Number Of Points While Playing, Which Is A Computer Game First For Me. The Only Problem I Have With The Game Is That Every So Often I Became Stuck For Days On One Puzzle, Which Quickly Became Very Tedious, And Also Found Fighting The Bosses Extremely Difficult. However, Despite These Minor Flaws, This Game Is Very Good, And Has Now Converted Me To The Survival Horror Genre."

Mike K  "I Feel This Is An Amazing Game That Should've Been Recognized More Than It Was. This Game Has The Whole Shot Great Graphics, Good Gameplay, And What Alot Of Games Don't Have Is A Great Storyline That Is Gripping And Emotional. This Is The Type Of Game That Will Keep You Hanging And Not Want To Turn Off The System Yet Sometimes You Want To Because Of The Fear Factor. As You Can See You Have To Buy This Game For The Low Price It Is At Now And Trust Me You Will Not Regret It."

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Scott Tomlinson (scotttomlinson)  "Resident Evil Code Veronica X. Really Just A Remake Of The Original Code Veronica, Which Was Released On The Dreamcast, But With Some New Great Scenes. Taking On The Role Of Claire Redfield Once More, You Prepare To Take On Beastly Creatures, Hungry Zombies, Demon Dogs And Horrifying Bosses.

Picking up from Resident Evil 2, When Claire Is Still Looking For Her Brother. With The Help Of A Rookie Cop; Leon S Kennedy, She Managed To Escape The City.

Good Gameplay, Awesome Graphics, Killer Sounds And In My Opinion One Of The Best Horror Games Of All Time.

My Verdict: If You Love Horror, This One Is For You. Get It Now!"

PS2 Review SUMMARY and SCORE
Steven Fowles (gideon)  "Having Recently Become The Proud Owner Of A Ps2, The Latest Instalment Of The Re Series Was Something I Just Had To Get My Hands On (having Loved The Other So Much, Except Survivor For Obvious Reasons). What Can I Say Except This Game Doesn't Disappoint. Graphically This Game Is Top Draw Eye Candy And Provides A More Than Adequate Platform For The Ps2 To Flex Its Muscles. It’s The Small Details Such As The Movement Of Shadows And The Flicker Of Lights Made Possible By The Real-time 3d That Add A Very Polished Touch To This Quality Title.

The Atmospheric Sound Of The Storm Outside And The Tell Tale Shuffling And Groaning Of The Zombies When You Apprehensively Enter A New Room Is At A Premium Here And Used To Great Effect In Building The Tension As You Slowly Explore Your Surroundings.

The Gameplay And Controls Are Standard Re. If You’ve Played Any Of The Others In The Series Then You Barely Need To Flick Through The Control Instructions. The Only Thing That Was Missing, Which In My Opinion Would Have Enhanced Gameplay, Was The Ability To Dodge Attacks As In Re3.

One Of The Major Criticisms Of The Re Series Is The Simplicity And Linear Nature Of The Puzzles I.e. Come Across A Locked Door, Find Key, Go Back To Door, Open Door With Key Etc. However, It’s An Enjoyable Enough Formula That Has Changed Little Since The Original Version And One That I Personally Don’t Have A Problem With. If I Want To Be Pushed Cognitively I Can Take Mensa Quizzes, If I Want To Play Survival Horror At Its Best – I Play Re.

The Voice Acting (as Always) Can Be A Little Dodgy At Times, But I Have Always Contended This Adds To The B-movie Feel Of The Whole Game. Character Insight Is Fairly Strong, Particularly Regarding An ‘old Friend’ From The Original Instalment And The Plot Line Is As Of The Same Standard As The Others. The Lastabilty Of The Title Upon Completion Is Strengthened Slightly By The Addition Of A Battle Mode, Where You Have The Choice Of Opting For Either Normal 3rd Person Perspective, Or 1st Person (which Is Highly Enjoyable). Replay Value Equates To Every Once In A While For Years To Come, And As An Overall Title It’s A Solid And Quality Addition To Any Game Collection.

Basically Its Quality More Of The Same Survival Horror Entertainment. If You’re A Fan Of The Genre Then Buy It – If You Just Want To Play The Game Then Rent. I Don't Believe This Game Pushes The Limit Of The Ps2, But It Sure Does Demonstrate And Make Use Of Its Power. A Class Act."
