Sure It Can Be Frustrating, But That's Because You Have To Go Through The Missions Multiple Times In Order To Find Out What You Have To Do To Succeed. That Requires Patience, Careful Squad Deployment, The Right Choice Of Weapons, And The Ability To Laugh When You Get Splattered Unexpectedly. As For The Aiming Issue...you Need To Go Into The Controller Options And Pick Custom. Then, Decrease Your Look Speed, Acceleration, And Dead Zone To Almost Nothing, But It Will Help Prevent You From Swinging Your Gun Wildly Back And Forth Over The Target, Which Is, I'm Sure, The Problem You're Encountering. The Overall Effect Will Make It Seem As Though The Character's Gun Is Very Heavy. However, It Will Keep You From Losing All That Time You Spend Waving The Weapon All Over The Place. | | | | | Rick Sengal "First Off, I Bought This Game Thiking It Would Great To Use The Headset And Order Around My Team Mates. Well Truth Is, I Didn't Even Need The Headset Because U Can Use The Buttons To Give Out "commands". It's Just A Cheap Money Scheme To Sell A Crappy Headset. Plus My Mom Thought I Was Weird When I Was Giving Commands Such As "regroup" And "charlie Go To This Preson". I Prefered Using The Buttons To Give Commands. Ohh And Plus The Commands Are Alredy Pre Determined. It Would Be Pretty Cool If I Could Have Asked One Of My Team Makes How His Day Was.
Nonetheless The Game Play Was Fair, Although The Game Is Too Serious. The Way Each Missions Starts Off Is Very "bland" Nothing Special, No Character Interaction, Just Missions After Missions!plain Old Boring Navy Stuff.
Plus The #1 Hated Flaw Of Games Is The Whole "objective Scheme" I Hate Those. They Ruin The Game Because You're Too Busy Looking To See What Ojective You Need And What U Already Done. Make Games Fun, Not 100% Serious, Add Some Humour. It's Only A Game. " | Graphics 11/20

Socom's Intense Close Quarters Fighting, Confusion, The Disorientation Of Darkness, A Misplaced Flash Grenade Along With It's Stunning Supporting Graphics Would Send Any Recon Grunt Back To The Va Hospital For Treatment. However, The Game Ai Lacks In Variety And Ruthlessness, And Can Make Enemy Reaction A Little Predictable At Times. Also, I Really Enjoyed The Headset Action. But, I Found The Commands And Team Execution A Little Frustrating. At Times When I Wanted To Command The Bravo Element To Clear/bang A Room I Had To Move Around, Keep Issuing The "regroup" Command To Get Them In Position To Finally Execute. What I Did Like About The Voice Commands Was The Microphone's Sensitivity, I Would Actually Creep My Wife Out And Send Her Running Out Of The Livingroom When I Would Issue Commands In A Steely Near Whisper. I Hope, If There Is A Sequel, The Commands Will Improve Along With Execution, And The Ai Will Be A More Formidable Adversary. In Comparison To Other Similiar Games Like Metal Gear 2, Socom Lacks An Entertaining Story, Character Interaction And Cheeeeesseeeee Lines. However, For The Serious Gamers, Who Hate Drama...socom Is The Unit To Enlist In. All In All, I Will Replay This Game And Reenlist For My Favorite Missions In The Year To Come. I Haven't Seen Audio This Poor Since The Days Of Sega Genesis Football Games. A "tango" Will Be Called Out After He's Already Been Shot, He'll Be Called Dead As Your Already Walking Over His Corpse, Etc. Also, The Team Members Move Rather Slowly And Occasionally Get Left Behind Because They're Caught Behind A Tree Or Rock. I Would Think That With The "fire At Will" Command On, They Would Smoke Enemies As Soon As They See Them ... Not Always The Case. I Found Myself Questioning Whether Or Not I Had To Have My Sights Locked On Them Before They Would Shoot At A Distance. Other Than These Small Things, Which Can Be Worked Around, It Is A Very Well Done Game. Quite Possibly Deserving Of "game Of The Year" Title, But Certainly Not A Shoe In.
