One could only wish that there were a Vagrant Story 2, but it would only work if it was done right *hint* *hint* Also, Shadow Hearts is pretty gorey if you aren't expecting it out of an RPG(Rated "M" for Mature). The sequel is currently in the works at Azure and Sacnoth so be prepared for something even better. Everything named here are good games and something you'll want to look into but a couple games you'll want to check out(in no particular order other than being the first ones i think of): Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht(The Will To Power) - $29.99 Wild Arms 3 - $29.99 Dark Cloud 2 - $39.99 And eventhough this next title(series) is nothing like Final Fantasy, you may want to check them out because it's pretty fun: .hack//Infection - AVAILABLE .hack//Mutation - AVAILABLE .hack//Outbreak - release date 09/09/03 .hack//Quarantine - release date December So, yeah, that's my little list of stuff out now. FFX-2? Expect whatever isn't in a normal FF title and that's what Square did with this title, the first in alot of ways fro the Final Fantasy series and the jury is still out on whether things are for the best in the game. The worst part, for me at least, is no Nobuo Uematsu doing the music this time but rather we get some wonderful J-Pop soundtrack(though who knows what the domestic release will end up being). So, i'm sure you're asking yourself right now.........or not........I get confused easily.....now that all these good RPGs are out, doesn't that mean we won't have any good ones for a while? Well, yeah, but no.......I'll give you a look into what i personally think will be good games in the upcoming year. That's below: --Arc the Lad: Twighlight of the Spirits-- This is the continuation of the long running Arc the Lad series. You may have played the original Arc the Lad titles in a compilation from Working Designs(aptly named Arc the Lad Collection) but Twilight is the first title in the series to be fully 3D. No i haven't played this one yet but i will say that come June 24th.......i'll be playing it. --Magic Pengel: The Quest for Color-- What can i say about this non-convential title from Agetec? This is an RPG along the lines of Pokemon or Monster Rancher but the catcher here is you draw your own monsters(aptly named doodles). Personally i think that this title will be nothing like Final Fantasy but nonetheless i will probably get the game(P.S. It's more adventure than RPG methinks though). --Disgaea: Hour of Darkness-- First thing i want to do here is take the time to thank Atlus Software for the oppurtunity to play this game. A strategy RPG that reminds you of Final Fantasy Tactics but then add in a bunch of darker references, a very good story, and well, Atlus rules and you have Disgaea. I recommend this title to all RPG fans(especially Tactics fans). --Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II-- Nothing much to say here but if Black Labl Games does as well with the sequel as they did with the original and then add in some new features, and a newer storyline then this will be a title that will easily be a top-tier title for the PS2 come October. If anyone wants to hear about RPGs for other systems then let me know and i'll tell you about them. Well, i hope that you all enjoy posting and have fun gaming.
