Setting the Scene:

Your name is Justin, You are a young boy with the heart of an adventurer and a knack for mischief. Your partner in crime is Sue, a cute little childhood friend who is always by your side. Together you start your adventures in the small port town of Parm in the eastern corner of the continent Messina. The town is embarking on its industrial revolution at the same time Justin is finding his own calling.

After playing adventurer in his small town with other childhood friends, Justin's mother Lilly who owns a restaurant in the town tells of her shocking past, which is a far cry from her current occupation. She also tells of Justin's father. It seems that Justin is just the latest descendant of a line of adventurers. As Justin looks on the wall with pictures of his father and grand father, his inner spirit yearns to fulfil his own destiny. Justin holds onto a Spirit Stone that was given by his father and his fate is now set into motion.

After meeting with Java, a veteran adventurer, Justin and Sue seek real adventure outside of their town. So off to the Sult Ruins they go. Here they encounter members of the Garlyle Forces, an elite private army lead by General Baal and his son Colonel Mullen. These forces are carrying secret military operations that only add to the intrigue of the mysterious ruins. This only pushes the young duo further. As they explore the towers, they stumble into an ancient shaft where the unbelievable happens.

A voice looms in the air and tells of incredible tales. The voice tells of a lost civilization called the Icarians. Being lost through the annals of time, the Icarians are the focal point to Justin's new quest. The voice guides Justin's plans which lead through the Mist Forest, lost villages, new towns, and ultimately (?) the 'End of the World'.

As the events are put into motion the Spirit Stone pulses and surges with power. What does it all mean?

With new information Justin and Sue set off for the new continent. As they are on a ship set for new horizons they meet a kindred spirit. A fellow adventurer as beautiful as she is deadly. Feena is a master of knives and whips. And now she joins Justin and Sue to find new adventures.

The three embark on the new continent. They will meet new people, fight old enemies and reach their ultimate goal. Find new magic. Develop weapon skills. Trade for new armor. Choose your protective charms. Combine weapon and magic for radical new moves. Uncover great secrets. It is all waiting for you. Can you handle it?

Sound and Vision:

The game starts of with a good character development foundation. As the story begins dialogue is shown on the screen as well as spoken. It is refreshing for an RPG to have actual spoken dialogue. The spoken dialogue is dispersed though out the game at key moments. The background music is typical music you would hear from other RPG's. Each magical casting produce there own unique sounds. The sounds are simple but adequate enough for their purposes.

The characters have some detail that can distinguish them from other people in the game. The close ups for conversation are cute. They definitely have a nice Japanese Anime flare. The town details are pretty good and the buildings are quite distinguishable from one another. The best parts of the game graphically are the storyboards used to further the story. The magical spells fall short, especially in comparison with the latest Final Fantasy installment. Though the graphics are decent, other RPG's are pushing the envelope more and setting new standards.
