Resistance fall of man
  • A while ago i was browsing different web sites for cheat codes for F.O.M. I came accross a certain site with codes for Invisibility & All medals, along with a few glitch locations.

I had no need for them at the time, but now i want them i can't find the site, and no other info on this matter.

    Can you help???

    Thanks

  • Reapers: During the "Gauntlet," you'll find it inside the house, in front of the square.
Backlash Grenade: During the "Cathedral," it's inside the house on the first room on the left.
Arc charger: During "No Way Out," it's at the end of the hallway near the officer's quarters.
L11-2 Dragon: During "Evacuation," it's inside the small bunker at the end of the Radial Mine path.
Splitter: During "A Desperate Gamble," it's on the second floor of the mall next to the viending machines by the windows.

  • Do you know the invisibility code, or the code to gain all medals? I saw them on a web site december last, and wasn't too bothered as i had just got into the game. Now i've completed the game & reached Supreme Commander, i just want a code to complete my medals for my online stats.

    Thanks

  • I can't find any of the above cheats you're mentioning- and to be honest i have never heard of them myself either...!

Are you really sure these codes are real, they sound VERY fake to me if i'm honest...? I doubt there's any cheat to gain all the medals- that will have to be done the hard way. And as for an invisibility cheat, i would highly doubt that too i'm afraid... I've briefly heard of one in the single player campaign (more of a glitch if memory serves), but nothing like that online...
  • There is deffinatly an invisibility cheat, as i was told it, during game play. i remember it involved pressing the start button, a combination of other buttons, and finaly start again. i tryed this once and it seemed to work as the opposing team did not seem to see me as i was stood in front of a sporning point and they were just running past me. it was only when i opened fire that i was detected, and presumably became visable. i have also experienced this online wher players from the other team seem to apear from nowhere and kill me?? it does exist, just forgot the code, and the guy who told me it is no longer on line. probably recieved a very long ban as he usually glitchs.
  • Ah yes, i just ran across it. Come to mention it, i do remember there was a big deal from a while back about it actually. Fact is, it's not really a cheat (well not a 'legal' one anyway). If you are found to be doing it, and reported, then you will recieve an account suspension or a ban.

It's not the way the game should be played, as you can understand it is highly unfair to other legitimate resistance players, and it is NOT an official cheat. Due to our policy here, we cannot give you any details about it. I would also have to ask you not to bring it up again, thankyou.
  • Ok no probs, i understand the frustration of these "glitch" style cheats being an unfair advantage. eg... Being snipered from the battlements outsideb the arena on Manchester 40, or shooting someone at close range for them to miracuasly get up and shoot you bnefore dropping to the floor again.
Since these "glitches" are illeglal, what is the purpose of the teddybear, sat on a rock, way outside the arena in the Somerset 40, capture the flag match? And what exactly is an official cheat? All cheats should be illegal during online gameplay, but the masses of people who do them, its beyond me why they get away with it. I suggest that moderaters should patrole these areas online with invincible characters, and once caught and killed, should recieve an instant ban. I for one, would volenteer to this. Anyway, thanks for your help.

  • Insomniac does have a way of reporting glitchers and they do actually look in from time to time. If memory serves this can be done somewhere in their site, most likely in th support area.

I cant say i've heard of that teddybear....? It's probably just an 'easter egg' put there by Insomniac sometime ago.

An official cheat is one that the developer has allowed gamers to use with their game (they come from the developer themselves). All cheats during online gameplay are illegal, due to, obviously, the unfairness of it.

The reason most people will get away with cheating is because, unless reported, they're highly unlikely to be caught by an online moderator as such. It would be near impossible to catch and punish such a large chunk of the online gamers unless everybody reported any glitchers or cheaters.
  • Easter egg???????????
  • Can you give an example of an official cheat?
  • Can you help me with the air granade? I've seen it been thrown & a column of flames comes out, instead of the usual blanket of flames. Is this a cheat? How is this done??
  • An "easter egg" is a term used to describe an object or place hidden within the game. It was first coined way back in the Atari 2600 days in the early 80s. Sometimes it can be a message (an example of that is the one hidden in Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Edition, hinting at a PS3 version of Twisted Metal) or just an in-joke of some sort referring to previous games in a series or by the same developers.

Official cheats are ones that are put in by the developers themselves, like the ever-famous "Konami Code" from the NES days (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, select, start). Resistance doesn't have any codes like this- plenty of unlockable things for doing certain actions like gathering a certain amount of intelligence reports, however.

The grenade you are talking about might be called the "backlash grenade"- you get this for the campaign mode by beating the game once.

The backlash grenade is not available for use online however. The column of fire from the air fuel grenade (much like the mini rockets with the LAARK), may just be one of the many secondary features for the weapon. I have not heard or seen it though, so i would say someone may have found a glitch with the Air Fuel grenade.

Ah i see now, i had to figure the lark secondry weapon out as no-one would tell me how to do that either, but this is done with the air fuel grenade. And people use it online. The invisibility cheat is activated by 1st pressing strt, then a combination of buttons, pressing start after this and you dissapear, only to reappear when you fire.
  • Sorry to bring the invisibility cheat up again, but with it being a combination of buttons, it had to be put there don't you think?? And not a glitch.

Like i say, to do the invisibility, is a combination of buttons like above. So the developers must have put it in there.
  • I wouldn't be so sure. It is definitely not listed as an official cheat for the game- and like i said, it's hugely unfair to the legitimate players in the online community.
  • I agree and don't cheat online. Do mediators watch match's being played, or the people who have been reported? I'm asking this as i have yet to play a fair online match . I'm sick of people either stood outside the arena usualy on the battlements in Manchester 40, just snipering you. Though it is rewarding when you snipe them, he he. Or stood in a wall where you can't get them, all you can see is where the bullets come from. A WALL!!
How do you get to be a mediator? And under what circumstances can they kick you out of a game? As i have been kicked out of games for no apparent reason.
  • Any/ all mediators are under the employ of Insomniac. If you know of specific PSN names that are taking advantage of glitches you should report them to Insomniac. You most likely will have to go to the site to do this.
  • It sounds like you're playing in Custom Games, Wizzyboy. If this is so, then this is why you are encountering so much cheating/ glitching- most people will cheat in custom matches (custom games are not really monitored by any mediators after all)...

If you are fed up with the cheating, make sure you play in Ranked games from now on. I have encountered 'little to none' cheating in Ranked Matches and this is the place to play Resistance competitively and fairly...!:)
